Splatshop unfortunately has some bad news to announce.
Last night, (19th July 2012) somewhere between the hours of around 7pm and 10pm, there was a break-in at the shop during which two motorbikes, clothing and the cash drawer were stolen.
The suspects were seen on CCTV footage, driving a silver (new-looking) Vauxhall Vivaro/Renault Traffic/Nissan Primastar (AS SEEN BELOW). There were three suspects in total, one driver. One of the men seen to be stealing the bikes was of a large build and the other was medium. Please let us or Derbyshire police know immediately if you suspect anything or anyone. Due to the thieves seemingly knowing their way around the shop and due to the nature of what was stolen, we would imagine that they had visited before and are part of the trials community. In this case, we feel it is important to stick together and spread the word, enabling everyone to keep a watchful eye out for the bikes, or any suspicious behaviour around other shops. On the day of the 19th July, Splatshop received a suspicious call about which bikes we had in stock. It may be unrelated, but is noteworthy. Investigations are already underway, we are examining CCTV footage and crime scene investigation have found some promising clues. In addition to this, we have taken immediate steps to increase our security measures to a very high standard, as this is our second attack, which we are treating very seriously.

In addition to the trials stock being stolen, a personal push bike was also taken, so please take note of any you may see or hear of. It was a blue framed 'Trek 1.1' (2009) road bike with with black, drop bars and Shimano R540 SPD pedals. It also had a Black 'Edinburgh Cycles' saddle bag attached to the seat and a blue Lezyne pump attached.
