XBlok Chain Wear Gauge

The new XBlok chain testing gauge allows you to quickly and easily assess the wear of your motorcycle chain, it will determine whether the chain is within acceptable wear limits stipulated by the chain manufacturer. It is a precision laser-cut Stainless Steel tool.

The chain gauge is a ‘Go- No Go’ gauge, there are three possible outcomes:

• If the 1% gauge does not fit the chain is good
• If the 1% gauge fits but the 1.5% does not then the chain is worn but usable.
• Replacement is recommended if the 1.5% gauge fits the chain

Simply place the rounded profile of the gauge over a chain roller and rotate until the measuring end comes into contact with the chain.

As you will be aware a worn chain will damage your sprockets and the risk of the chain jumping off the sprocket is dramatically increased.

The gauge will measure 520 and 530 chains.
