Heated Grip Kit

Keep your hands warm on those cold wet days with these high output heated grip elements that fit directly under your favourite grips.

The heating elements are very thin at around 0.2mm thick, to attach them simply peal the backing paper off and stick them on to your handlebars before installing your own grips, with them been so thin you hardly notice they are there till you switch them on.

Runs off your bike lighting circuit and pulls around 36watts on high setting.

Great for winter road trials and events like the SSDT.

Fitting note:

These heating elements are the same power output for both sides, as the left hand side one is directly stuck directly to the aluminium handlebar this can suck a lot of the heat away from the grip on that side.
On the right hand side (throttle) you stick the element to the plastic throttle tube, this acts as a insulator so less heat gets wasted and the grip gets hotter. To counter this we use a 2.2Ohm power resitor in series with the throttle side heating element to keep the heat more even on both sides for low speed trials use (if your using the heaters at faster speeds there will be a greater heat loss from the handlebars so a larger resistor maybe required to keep the heat more even).
There is no fuse included in the kit so it may be wise to use a small inline fuse holder and a 3.15A Time delay fuse.
