These HK1520 needle roller bearings are designed with integrated rubber seals, making them significantly easier to fit compared to the original HN1516 bearings that require separate seals. The built-in seals not only simplify the installation process but can also enhance the sealing performance, reducing the likelihood of rust.
While these bearings are wider than the original ones, they offer improved ease of fitting and better sealing. However, it's worth noting that the original bearings are full complement, meaning they contain more rollers and can handle higher loads. Despite this, the standard caged bearings used by other bike manufacturers should perform adequately.
