Details
The K type has holes around the base allowing fuel to collect around the outside of this jet so when the throttle is opened the carburettor can deliver initially rich mixture as the fuel from around the jet is sucked through the holes, with the holes being near the bottom the excess fuel is quickly used up returning the mixture to normal.
For a diffuser which offers an even richer initial delivery of fuel please see the Dellorto HE Type Atomiser Emulsion Tube
For a diffuser which offers an weaker initial delivery of fuel please see the Dellorto HH Type Atomiser Emulsion Tube
The number on the diffuser denotes the size of the hole at the top of the tube, where the needle enters, in hundredths of a mm i.e. 268 = 2.68mm.
