GasGas Kickstart Idle Gear

The idler gear that the kick start gear engages with on the GasGas Pro trials bikes.

This gear can cause a rattling ticking noise if it gets damaged, the noise speeds up as the engine revs increase. It is recommended to replace this idler gear along with the kick start half gear if this gear has been damaged in any way.

Also check the kick start return stop piece to make sure it is not the older plastic version, the stop is fastened to the left hand centre case but you can get at it from the clutch cove side by removing the kick start shaft. If you still have a red or white plastic version please replace it with the new metal kickstart stop piece.
