The half gear that attaches to the main kick start shaft on the GasGas Pro trials bikes.
If this gear has been damaged or it has broken, it is highly recommend to check the the kick start idler gear for any damage, remove the gear and check the back side of the gear and every tooth, if there is any damage we recommend replacing it with a new one.
It is important to put this gear back on to the kickstart shaft in the correct place so the spring tension is correct on the kick start.
The picture shows the correct position for the gear on the shaft, the red line at 12 o-clock shows the position of spring hole in the shaft. The gear is sat down on the lower circlip.
Also we recommend swapping the plastic kick start stop for the newer aluminium stop that comes with the new Idler gear.
